Fourth Annual Global Issues Press Fellowship
Domingo, 14 de Julio de 2013 17:00
The UN Foundation announced its fourth annual fellowship for journalists interested in learning and reporting on global issues when leaders gather in New York City for the UN General Assembly in September.   This 4-day fellowship, from September 22-25, will bring together journalists with a shared interest in global health issues and international development. Fellows will have exclusive access to country leaders, UN experts, and NGO representatives, to support reporting on the events and announcements made during UN Week. "From New York to Nigeria, it's clear now more than ever that our economies, health, and security are linked", says Aaron Sherinian, Vice President of Communications and Public Relations at the UN Foundation. "This fellowship will provide journalists with access to global leaders and experts for a behind-the-scenes view of how governments and organizations around the world work together to advance development for us all."  With support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, this fellowship is designed to foster participants' understanding and facilitate reporting of the issues surrounding international development and global health, and will provide the exclusive opportunity for fellows to participate in on- and off-the-record issue briefings, roundtables, and conversations with experts and high-level officials. Convocante:United Nations FoundationPlazo:19 de Julio de 2013
