Student photographers: Want acclaimed NYTimes photographer Tyler Hicks to see your work? Want to see your photograph hanging in a gallery? Want to shoot the DNC in Charlotte with renowned photojournalist, Bill Eppridge? Enter TEF’s 2012 ECHO International Photojournalism Student Competition.
Fifteen years ago, following his visit to Charlotte, Nobel Laureate and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel challenged this city to strengthen its commitment to combating indifference by speaking out on behalf of those who are voiceless, promoting respect, justice and dignity for all people, and raising awareness by fostering a community that embraces tolerance, compassion and ethical decision-making. The Echo Foundation accepted his challenge. Our mission is: to promote justice and inspire hope through education, creative acts of service, and the development of leadership for a more humane world.Convocante:The Echo FoundationPlazo:Saturday June 30, 2012 at 11:59 pm EDT.
