A Doctor of Philosophy scholarship (Australian Postgraduate Award - Industry) is being funded by an Australian Research Council Linkage Project in partnership with the Gold Coast City Council entitled Application of artificial neural network in flood emergency decision support system.
This research project aims to develop a reliable model employing neural-network based techniques, which utilise historical flood data obtained from the Gold Coast region. The outcome of this project will assist local authorities to effectively plan and implement mitigation strategies against flooding on the Gold Coast.
